Dayton Fan & Motor Co. 8" Fan Type 27 Circa 1914 This 8” tab base fan seems to be more scarce than it’s the Type 22 and the difference being the Type 22 is an enclosed brush motor and the Type 27 is vented and hasn’t  any brushes.  Certainly more quiet running if nothing else.  These tab base fans manufactured by Dayton were also re-badged and sold by The Jandus Fan Co. as well as Eck.
